This is a set of six original Hans J. Wegner for Johannes Hansen JH-525 and JH-526 dining chairs in teak. Original black oxhide leather upholstery. One owner with original invoice and documentation from Johannes Hansen included.
 
Thick, solid teak frames with beautiful sculpted arms. The aged wood is in excellent original condition with no damage or repairs. Only minimal wear.
 
The original black ox hide leather is very nice overall. By nature, there is a little variation in texture and grain with ox hide leather. There are some very small flaws or wear from use, such as small scratches or nicks, rub marks, etc, but only very minor. The seats are soft and comfortable. A couple of the backrests have foam that is starting to harden at the outer edges but is not noticeable visibly or when used. These chairs need nothing to be used in a top-tier collection.
 
All chairs have the original fabric underneath with metal labels from Johannes Hansen.
 
Each armchair measures - 25.25" Wide x 21.5" Deep x 31.75" Tall. 17.5" seat height.
Each side chair measures - 21.25" Wide x 20" Deep x 31.25" Tall. 17" seat height.
 
These chairs were ordered from Linds Bolighus in Velje, Denmark, but originally the wrong chairs were delivered. The original owners worked directly with Johannes Hansen to exchange for the correct chairs. The original Linds Bolighus invoice, letters from Johannes Hansen, and other original paperwork are included with the sale of these chairs.
